Worked on cleaning up the replacement guage bezel this evening. Stripped the paint off. I will be priming snd painting it after I pick up some pinstripping tape to tape over where the chrome will be.
Installed the replacement bezel last night. It looks much better now.
After
Before, dirty and was cut for a wider radio.
I plan on cleaning and repainting the wiper control, shifter plate and heater control next. I am also ordering new speakers later today. I also have a new set of cut pile carpet to install. The kit was for a roadster but hopefully I can make it work.
This project was actually sold this morning. No doubt the new owner will give her a well deserved restoration. I'm positive it's not the last we have seen of this car on the forum.
My car work can now focus on my dad's 68 and the 73 I picked up a couple months ago.
Oh I promise it will get the royal treatment Chuck.
It already has a place on the lift in the garage previously occupied by your 68 chassis. Settling in nicely.
I have already contacted the body shop about future delivery of the 75 donor body and plans for using it for this build. Attachment 47994193
And my request for a picture of the correct color was already submitted by my good friend Eric, he has a saddle interior version of the same 75 coupe.
And I dug out my build parts listing and have begun to inspect and update it for the 75. Won't happen quickly, but will happen.
Thanks again.
