Gauge Mod? Trim Rings?
I am messing w/ the interior -have some plans- want to modify it - but still retain the stock looking appearance-
This is just one small step - trim rings for the gauges-
Not polished up- just taped in place on my 73 to see if it looks good-will probably mill them down a bit -as I think they are a little too deep.
Thoughts???

It looks OK. I just can't see how the '68-77 dash could look any better than it was designed.

It looks like a nice change. Maybe a little less depth like you said. But otherwise, looks like a nice looking mod.

Thanks guys- Everything else on the dash has chrome accents (radio/vents/speedo/tach) except for the gauges.
I cut three down ( have a dozen of theses "trims rings") and polished them (aluminum). I think that a little thinner/not as deep- is the best look. When you are outside the car- I think then they really stand out-shows off the gauges versus blending in w/ the black surround.

Richard, I like it how long did they take to mill? How do they attach?

These "rings" are what's leftover from cutting down some 40mm Jaguar V12 velocity stacks as I just needed the Weber bolt flange bases- to put bigger horns on them. So originally - I cut 6 one size and 6 another- with a bandsaw. So I really just dressed the shorter set up w/ a file and a buffing wheel.
Right now- painters tape is holding them on- just a test fit on my 73- as I am working on a complete custom dash/console on my 71.
