I'm shopping for C3's and C6's right now and there are plenty of fake listings with stolen photos and this one is one of those.. I found a 1969 Corvette Convertible Big Block with ALL options for $16800... However, the same exact car with the same pictures is listed for sale in SARASOTA/Florida.. Also found a 1969 Corvette Converible all matching numbers 350/350 car in excellent condition for $14500 in Buffalo/NY. The same car with the same pics is listed at a dealer in the Bronx for $24995...
It's a phishing scam.. They want people who smell a unbelievable deal to send a deposit via Western Union in order to hold the car.. However, the car does not exist and the fake seller of the fake car gets away with that deposit.. Unfortunately, people fall for it..
It's the only one of the fake ads that I found where I could not locate the original listing that the pics were stolen from.. All the other fake listings stole the description from the site where they stole the pics.. Doing a google search for the description ended up producing the site where the car is listed for a lot more in a different location.. This specific listing was done smarter as they changed around the text, but they don't know vettes, so they made the ad for a 1975 big block, not knowing that in 1975, there were on big blocks.. Stupid mistake..

Just sent the e-mail:
Hi, I’m interested in the 1975 Corvette Convertible you have on Criagslist..
I’m in Florida and I would like to check it out in person. I will be in Las Vegas in a few days. Do you have a phone number that I can contact you at as I have a few questions about the car.
Speaking of scams , What with the site " VETTEHOUND " . Seems to be a lot of corvettes that are scams. Example : Big Block 67 convertible 427/435hp Great condition . $15,000. Many ads like this one on there.
Im too late. The listing was pulled, and I cant see what great deal I missed out on. It would have been my lucky day since I also coincidentally inherited $10 million from my lost uncle that I have never heard of, and doesn't have any similarities to me, died in a plane crash in Nigeria, and all I have to pay is a finders fee.
