Has anyone used the lizard skin spray to cut back on the heat?
I have not used it BUT I have purchased microspheres/microballons to make my own version of Lizard Skin. There are a ton of threads on the net about it but here is one.
Gutted the interior -cleaned it w/ Goof-off professional cleaner. I then spayed 2 gal to the correct thickness.
I used their spraygun and had no issues.
I also took another step to combat the heat- I used Zero Clearance on the exterior- to reflect the heat away as a first line of defense.
Between the Lizardskin and Zero Clearance -I think I have about $400 in heat reduction- but think it was well spent.
I put down four gallons of the Ceramic Lizzard skin and then a layer of knock off Dynomat on top of that. It cut way back on the heat. As I am running side pipes, the noise not so much.

Was that the Ceramic or Sound Control? ..or was it back when they only had the single product?

My car is stripped down as far as Richard's photos. My original plan was to use the sound and heat product on both the interior and exterior, but have since changed to thinking I will only use both on the interior.
It does create a texture that will have to be painted over on the exterior. My thought are the interior is my concern and if it's totally coated, I should get the wanted results with an easier application.
I'm still on the fence so curious to hear your decision.

Ceramic is only for the heat. The sound control formula would have likely made a difference.

It was just for heat-a convertible w/ sidepipes- sound control w/ be controlled my right foot and right hand on the switch for the electric exhaust cut-outs!!!
