Default 1969 Baldwin Motion L-89 Corvette

I have a retired friend (with) an incredible 69 L-89 Corvette. There were only 309 L-89 cars built that year and only 200 or so survive. The car came from NY and was built as a Baldwin-Motion Phase III car. As I understand, Joel Rosen expected to build 10 Phase III cars that year and only did 4. The parts were available over the counter to anyone wishing to buy them. Therefore, this car is refereed to as a "catalog" car; in that all the parts were sourced from Motion but the car was not built in house. This car is amazing---20 factory options, show quality paint, a rare Hone-O-Drive overdrive unit and numbers matching power train. If he had a piece of paper signed by Rosen it would sell for a fortune. He has a ton of money invested
I tried to convince him to join the Forum, but he is tired of all the "experts" picking the car to pieces and is a quiet kind of guy.

( comments and contact info for selling someone else's car removed )

Thanks- Dandy Don

Does "picking it apart" mean fellows who doubt it will fetch 95K?
Or guys who point out flaws? or guys who do not agree with his every word?
It has to be a heck of a c3 custom to fetch 95K.

Actually while not all are in wonderful show car condition like yours there are a lot of cars built with "motion" or motion clone parts sans documentation out there, what I have seen is the few with documentation built in house motion are the ones that fetched tall dollars.

One has to face that with no documentation and not built in house the car IS just another custom c3 in that the value will be gauged on the cars condition, and what some one is willing to pay.

It's a bit moot because if I am not mistaken the rules here do not allow selling cars for friends...

But sounds nice would love to see pictures....

-people do not get away with picking cars apart for sale on the forum. There's specific rules against Interference in a sales thread.

Some cars are subjects for comments in threads, but not for sale cars.

-the General section is not where cars are sold. They are posted in the Cars For Sale section.

-there is in fact a rule against selling for someone else. Tell your friend to get a Corvette Forum account and list his car. No one will pick on him.
