interior paint not dye?
I need to repaint my steering column (1982 dark blue interior). All I see from the vendors is interior dye which would be used for plastics/vinyls etc... Anyone have any ideas on where to get paint for column in 82 Dark blue?

If you have interior (vinyl) dye, you can still use it for other interior components. The dye has elastomers in it that allow the dye to flex. Using dye on the steering column is fine, but it will not be as durable as a regular paint. But, since it will match the rest of the interior, why not?
