I will be installing new carpet once it arrives and was curious what adhesive you guys recommend. I was thinking of getting some 3m spray adhesive as I have used it before to install vinyl tops on a couple cars I restored and it worked well but that was to metal. Is there a better product? Thanks
Get a quart of contact cement, but use the flammable not the "green" water base. Use a cheap brush; better control than the spray and the same product.

When I replaced my carpet I found that I didn't need to use contact cement. Most of the carpet will fit pretty snug once you tuck it under the consoles, sills, belts, seats, etc..
When I found that I needed something to hold a particular spot in place I used Velcro tape. No mess and easy to remove/uninstall if needed.

In my 78 the factory carpet was not glued anywhere. The replacement carpet was formed to match factory shapes and therefor I did not require any additional adhesive's, exception was the console side panels and the kick plate side panels.

I replaced mine last week with full set from Willcox and it went down great without any glue. I also added a layer of Reflectix insulation just in time for 100 degree south Georgia temps. If interior heat is a issue I recommend it. It really made a difference for me.
