Default I think its a 70...help wanted

I will post pictures later. (This thread is useless without them lol). My view was extremely limited in the dark and through the fence.

Found a local chrome bumper car with egg crates. It has clear parking lights in the grille, thats what makes me think its a 70, I may be very wrong on that. Its a vert with hard top, small block, 4 speed, and a dark color (most likely black).
If someone could give me all the trim tag codes, engine codes and all the options available that year I would appreciate it. And possibly 71 and 72, cause I'm not an expert, and would like to know what I'm looking at while I'm there.

I would suggest getting a 'Corvette Black Book'

You can download the Corvette DNA app to your Smartphone, it has all the information you are asking about. The app is free.

Here is the link to download both the Android and Apple apps

If it's black, the color has been changed, so you might check the trim tag for the original color, and look to see if it was just a color change or if there's body repair you need to check.

One web site that will have most if not all of the info you are seeking is called corvsport.

Best wishes. If I hadn't bought a '67, I'd have gone for a one of the egg-crate years myself.

The VIN is on the driver's windshield post visible from outside the car and will have a numeric character for the model year code.

Peeking thru someone's fence in the dark?

You might be the nicest guy in the world or you could also be a thief?

Ask the owner, at a reasonable time of day.

I thought about how bad that sounded after I posted it, but its a pawn shop on the corner with the car parked next to the entrance.

Thanks to all for the help, I will be receiving a corvette black book shortly, I bought online.

The car belongs to the owner of the pawn shop, and it's his personal vehicle, he would not allow me to take pictures and was not open to discussing any information.

Thanks again.
