Default 73 corvette brake problems

my pedal went all the way to the floor and as i pushed it really hard my car would stop. i thought i jus needed to bleed the line. I brought it to midas and they said that they can't do anything because of rust. I live in the bay area of california. What do i do? where should i go?

Don't know what idk means, but this is the master cylinder with
power brake booster on my 73.
Did they tell you what they meant by rust? Bleeders could be rusted
and couldn't be opened.

Take a couple of pictures for us if you can. Similar to Donnie's. The Master Cylinder is the item in the lower left corner with the gold cap. Take a straight down shot too so we can see the brake lines coming off of it. It would be great to see a shot of under the cap too so we can see if the fluid is milky or just what the status is of it.

To me, it sounds like the shop wanted you to go away and just said there is rust. If that was true, I would think they would try and sell you a new system or replace what would be needed and not just say they couldn't do it.

Good Luck!
