Default 76 stingyray

I My apologies if this type of post isn't allowed on this forum. Just looking for advice.

So I found a 76 stingray online, I haven't seen it person. They say it's has 58k original miles and the original engine. Car is registered and inspected (ny). From the pictures she appears to be mint. The seller is asking for $9000(usd). The seller is moving and wants to unload the car. I know the usual basics to look for when buying a car, is there anything in particular I should look for when buying this vette? Also is nine thousand a fair price? Also has a 4 speed munsey.

Pretty fair price I would say.

If the paint is in driver shape, that is 10+ foot good shape. (Paint in photos always looks great, LOL's!)

And if the rust is nominal. Check thoroughly for this. Look everywhere.

And drive train is decent drivable shape.

I like 76's, great drivers you can enjoy! Good luck with the hunt!

Muncie, actually. Are you intending to personally inspect this car before purchase?

Believe in 76 it is a Borg Warner not Muncie. Nice that it is a 4spd. Without pictures or all the particulars of what has been replaced it is difficult to guess but off the cuff you would be around a good price. You will find out what it needs. Good luck.

A very good price if it is indeed mint. The 4-speed tranny is worth a few $k extra alone. And, who knows, it could be an L82. Hopefully it has a/c. Good luck.

Make sure that the odometer has not rolled over 1-2 times (or more). The owner should be able to prove the mileage from service records or other valid means.
