So the emblem didn't come on the car, the individual ordered it and put it on himself?
I have a 1982. I has a 350, so does that mean mine is an L-48?
I'm pretty sure yours is an L-83. I think Vettes in '82 were only offered with one engine type, a 350ci "crossfire". L-83 was the designation for those.
I think you are referring to me. Yes that is an aftermarket emblem. It is held on by automotive adhesive GOOP. There are no holes in the hood. Been there for four years.
...I have a 1982. I has a 350, so does that mean mine is an L-48?...
No. the L-48 was discontinued after the 1980 model year. There were no optional engines for 1981 or 1982. All 81 models got the L-81 with computer. All 82s got the L-83 Crossfire engine with computer.
but you easily make your car an l88 a zr1 or a z06 a stingray or sting-ray even a tadpole if that's what you want from $1 to $100. Your car add whatever emblem you want.

True, but I would draw the line at a tadpole. Perhaps an L-48 slug.
