Default Proportioning Valve Cleaning?

Is there any cleaning procedure I should give to this part or make sure there is nothing built up inside it while I have it off? I will be replacing all of the lines. Car sat for a very long time. According to the service manual, it isn't serviceable.

might as well replace this too... I wouldn't risk reusing it personally

Not knowing the year of car, but that does not look like a proportioning valve. Early C3s used these pressure differential switches to detect an imbalance between front and rear systems, then close a contact for the brake warning light. Works or it doesn't. Hardly a life safety issue.

It's a 77. Even it isn't a true proportioning valve, I didn't know if I needed to clean it some way.

Probably just regular flushing the brake lines is all the internal cleaning it ever needs.

Block off the inlets/outlets to keep any foreign objects out during cleaning.

Take a soft brass toothbrush (firearm cleaning supplies) and some Brasso... Will clean right up.

I know the earlier switches are dated... Good reason to restore the original.
