Default Windshield Wiper Switch

I am looking for a NOS windshield wiper switch for my 1971 Corvette - anyone know of someone who has one for sale?

Actually no - my mechanic has tried 4 after market ones and they don't seem to work correctly and tends to get stuck after a while. I was hoping to find an NOS switch

silly thought, make sure the connector is on the correct way.

i found with my '72, that even tho it has a rib along one side, the connector could still go on the otherway around.
and i was getting a shock thru the bezel.

as i said, just a thought...

They're ALL made in China now days and they're ALL garbage. I bought one recently for my '71 and it broke on the 3rd time I used it. I took it apart and beefed it up inside using epoxy and aluminum sheet metal and now its a brute of a switch that'll likely never fail. It took me about 4 hours worth of work but that 4 hours was worth it.

I ordered one and installed it (Chinese) and when I pressed the **** on, the guts flew out the back. I called the vendor and they had six in stock and all six flew apart when they checked. I put mine back together and put JBWeld on the tangs that hold the black part on, and so far so good.
One note about the switches, they MUST be grounded. If your upper part of the console doesn't have a good ground, the wiper option will be intermittent at best and non-functional at worst. My original switch would have been fine if I had run a jumper from the upper section of the dash to the center section just below it. The new switch had the same issues as the original until I grounded the switch. All the diagrams have notices that say they must be grounded, but most think that attaching the mounting screws to the metal plate will do it. No so if that upper section isn't grounded. The switch works by supplying grounds to different wires for different functions, so IT MUST BE GROUNDED. Willcox has a great troubleshooting guide and pictures on their website.

What gets stuck the actual switch or the wipers?

I had to run a separate ground wire on my 72 to get the wipers to work.
