Default '69 427 3X2 Tri-Power Value?

I purchased a 427 Motor to put into my 1937 Chevy Pickup Rat Rod. With doing some research I would like help figuring out the Value of the Motor. Pending the real value, I may not use it in my Truck.
Someone out there can probably put better use to this motor. If VIN 710909 is still out there; that's where this belongs. I have matching heads, exhaust manifolds, flywheel, & other misc parts that were in the barn with the motor. The guy that had them was a racer from the 70's who had passed away.
Here is what I have...... This would have been in one of two cars. VIN #'s 194679S710909 OR 194379S710909 pending a coupe or a convertible.
Casting Information.....
Block Casting: 3935439 = 427
Bore: 4.250
Date Casting: "HIPER" is cast typically where the date is cast.
Under side Cast: G 5 8 or July 5, 1968
Front Cast by Chain: B 2 Z in different spots. & PASS Hi PERF
Back of Block Cast: HI PER TRUCK PASS BZ
By Oil Filter Location: HI PERF PASS 7 K
Stamp Pad Info.......
Left Side of Pad: T1123LR
T: Tonawanda
1123: November 23, 1968
LR: 435 HP with Holly Tri-Power
Right Side: 19S710909
1: Chevy
9: 1969
S: St Louis
VIN: 10909

The motor has the Pistons installed with the Crank. It is a 4 Bolt Main.

SO..... With this information, can anyone give me a real value? I have seen values all over the place. THANK YOU!!!!

Honestly the only added value other than being a used BB would come from to the owner of the car.

Try to find the owner and you will get more or of it.

Hi 63,
To further Corey's point:
The car this engine was in could no longer exist.
The present owner of the car may not care about the original engine.
The present owner of the car may believe the present engine in his car is the original. (He's not going to be happy with this news!)
The present owner of the car may have been dreaming about someday finding this engine. (He will get his wallet out!)
You may never find the owner of the car this engine came out of even if it still exists.
Regards,
Alan

It would probably be wise to continue making deposits to your 401K at this point.

Default '69 427 3X2 Tri-Power Value?

Thanks guys. I fully understand that the facts are what they are. I'm just wondering what the value of a BB 427 is in today's world. Being that it came from a Corvette or not; what's the fair value. There is one guy out there that the value is more than others obviously, but to the average Joe out there, what's it worth? ANY factory motor that was capable of pushing out 435 HP must have a value to others vs the original car it came out of.

Thanks!

It may have some added value for someone looking for a block with the correct date and casting number. Someone looking for judging points.

Default Hi,

I think it is worth about $2500 but you would have to confirm the block has good cylinder walls, not cracked etc. Put it on ebay. I would ask $2500
