Default 1970 trim rings

Hi, I'm looking to buy a 1970 corvette owned by the second owner, my question is: I understand the original wheels are 8" wide. are the trim rings suppose to be wide enough to recess all the way or is there about an inch till it meets the inside of the wheel? Any pix would help. thanks for your time mike

Hi m s s,
Second owner 70 for you perhaps! Very nice!
The rings are the same size as when used on the 68 cars with 7" wide wheels; they weren't changed for the wider wheels used in 69 and later cars.
So there's typically a space between the inner lip of the ring and center the wheel.
Regards,
Alan
