There were no factory installed mirrors, prior to the introduction of the painted dual sport mirrors, in 1977.
The passenger side mirror, was never listed on the build sheet. The chrome passenger side mirror, was always a dealer installed accessory, and only equipment installed at the factory, was included on the build sheet. There was no Regular Production Option (RPO) code for the passenger side mirror. The mirror would not appear on the window sticker either, though it would or could be on a dealer generated invoice or sales contract.
From 77-79, the single driver's side mirror was standard, while the painted sport mirrors were optional. Starting in 80, the dual sport mirrors became standard.
