Hi? i have a 82 corvette. i want to remove the T-top, glass top but i can't figured it out. i pulled down the locking mechanism on the front right side but still they don't come out.
Releasing the front locks also pulls the bullets from the latches on the halo panel. At that point you should be able to lift the top slightly, then pull it towards the outside of the car.
which mean i have to pull the latch down all the way. because after i open the latch, only side where the latch is mounted is the side i can move or lift up the other side close to the body of the car is not moving and it looks like it has a pin that snap into a hole
I THINK you can access the rods that move that pin by either removing or pulling down the t-top liner on the latch side.
If you can, look for the long rod going to the halo and see if you can grab it with some long needle nose pliers and pull towards the front of the car.
If that works and you get top off remove, the liner and look where rod is, it may have slipped out of the latch.
If you open the fronts and the bullets do not retract, they have broken off the latch rods or the rods are no longer connected to the front locks. The AIM shows how the rods connect. Do you have the AIM?
