The ultimate parts source for high strength C3 rear ends is Tom's Differentials. Tom's now only sells parts. The forum vendors that provide rebuild services use Tom's parts. I'm not sure, but I think his 12 bolt differential is good for about 1000 ft-lbs of torque..for a Corvette IRS. I think the parts are about $4000. Installation is extra.. Have I made a mistake about prices?

A complete youtube video of a differential rebuild would be several hours long. Getting the pinion depth, the shimming, then setting up the preload on the pinion bearings, then setting the preload on the side bearings and adjusting the gear mesh pattern. Not what I'd call a plug and play. Nothing fast about it. It is something that you can do if you have the time and some skills. Lots of guys have built them with great success. You can too. Get a couple of the factory service and unit repair manuals and start reading. Worst 2 I ever did- one was a Chevette- ring gear is like 6 inches across. HAd that one apart about a dozen times trying to get the pattern on that tiny little gear/ Other one was the front on a 4x4 pickup. Flippin' pattern is backwards from everything else. Coast is drive and drive is coast. Those were back in my dealer days getting paid flat rate. Lost my butt on both pay wise.
