High Beam Light

So its been a while that I have needed to put on my highbeams. I noticed that nothing on my dashboard told me that they were on. Before I start pulling it apart I wanted to know is there something on the dashboard and where is it located?

Yes, there should be a high beam blue light at the top of the
speedometer. The brake indicator is at the top of the tach.

Have fun pulling the speedo/tach assembly out. Better search for help first.

Just for the heck of it, how about a little more info. What year? Do the brights come on, but the indicator not? Or do the brights not come on either?

Its a 81. The headlights come on and work fine. Its just that there is no way to know from inside the car if the highbeam's are on or not. I've been wanting to change the dashboard bulbs to led's so this might be my chance.

Just keep in mind that the flexible plastic circuit board for your speedo/tach cluster can be a part of the problem. And if have seen the harmonica connector that plugs into the cluster...the contact points in the flexible circuit board are damaged.
