Screech screech sounds more like a brake pad is worn or a calliper is hanging up. A bad U-joint does not sound like a screech. Wheel bearing maybe. You need to dive into it.
Car has 72k miles on it. I'm not sure if the trailing arms have been rebuilt. I have owned it since 2007.
I will jack it up this week and give the tire a spin. At this point I think it's a wheel bearing. Although I"m not ruling out a bad caliper. I think if were that, the noise would change when I press the brakes. I will also check the e-brake to make sure that is not the issue either.
Check your parking brake. I had the same issue with the same wheel. Found a broken spring inside my parking brake. I removed it, still haven't replaced it yet but I will someday.
