Default 73-75 Frame Question

I a few months ago I purchased a 1973 Stingray. The car is in great shape inside and out. But has some frame issues. I've read some different opinions on solving the issues. So instead of splicing in new pieces on the frame, I purchased a good shape original 75' rolling chassis. Everything has been stripped off, frame with new welds, and been powdercoated. The guy that I purchased the chassis from said I would have no problem moving the 73 body etc over on the restored 75 frame. My question is will this work or what changes have to be made to make it work? I've always loved the c3 corvette ever since my grandad had a 69. But I'm new at this restoration game. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The 73 uses a different mounting system for the front bumper so some of the mounting points/brackets/tabs may be different. I would recommend consulting the AIM to see how the it mounts.

Hi KY,
I believe the rear of the frame rails and rear crossmember is slightly different too because of the change from chrome bumpers (73) to rubber bumper (75).
You might check the configuration in that area between your 73 frame and the 75 frame.
That should give you an idea if the bumper brackets may need some massaging. It might also affect the small brackets that stabilize the rear valance and license bezel area on a 73 body.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

really just eyeball both frames and look for differences.. use your measuring tape. check that old brackets will bolt to your new frame.
