Default What Was Here???

I'm starting in on my heater box and need a hand with something that appears to be missing. I have an early 68 coupe with a 327/300, A/T, A/C, P/S, P/B, P/W. I've attached a few photos of what I'm looking at. It is a bracket that is attached to the interior box. It appears that something was attached to it at one time. I've looked at the AIM and it was no help to me. I would appreciate it if some could tell me what it is/was and... any pictures would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance, Jason

The center AC/defroster distribution duct, was attached to the heater box with that bracket. Someone pulled the bracket off of the duct, when disassembling it.

I had mine apart a few years ago and took some pics if you need more as you continue to work on it. Here is one of the same area showing the mounting screw for that clip.

AND...for those who care...in this photo. If you see the creamy yellow plastic part that is screwed to the door inside the box that you can see. THIS plastic part can break very easily and you will loose the vacuum controlled movement on this door. I run into this quite often when I remove the main air duct and can see it.

SO...just be aware of it....or you will be back in the dash once again.
