Looking better and better! What gas cap did you buy? Did you get one of the ones where it just replaces the lid and you have to reach in to take the actual cap off, or did you tie in the bottom of the LeMans cap to the top of the tank? I have been looking for one I can integrate into the tank. I think I found a few from Cobra websites that might work.

Gordon Mudge has a Cobra and may be able to shed some insights into that style. Gordon is a long time friend and fellow Corvette owner. I can put you two in contact if you are interested, just PM me.
Thanks Kubs.

I managed to get the Dynomat installed in the racer today though I cut my hands up on the metal backing. I also did a dry fit of the carpeting but will not install that quite yet. I need to install the internal rear electrical harnesses soon, then button up the rear compartment.

I'll post more soon.

Advanced
We all had a fun day working with the car. Leroy and Ed have painted my Vette and now my Cobra. Both stunning cars and Davids car is no exception. These guys are a hoot to work with and Leroy and his wife Kathy are great hosts. The scenery from his front porch is just awesome and his shop is top notch. Now the work on Davids car really begins. Assembling all the fun pieces back together to get this thing moving under its own power. Should be a fun ride.

I was told that Ecklers sold something like this in the past, with three lights in the rear, I reversed that and went back to the two tail light system, like it a bunch better now.
Thanks again.

Are the headlight covers getting stripes to match the body? It looks a little off without the stripes. Otherwise it looks great!

I got my Corvette letters back today from the Powder Coating Shop and they did a great job. Tomorrow I will see if I can get these mounted to the rear of the racer and will let you know how they work, and how they look. They will be mounted over the Red Vinyl.
I also met with Seven Wraps again today and reviewed the graphics I have selected for the car. Brian will be laying them out and I hope to see proofs in the next couple of weeks.
Progress, however small, is always progress.
Thanks for following along.

Headlight Covers
FWIW I attended the NCRS regional meet in Frisco this past weekend and saw a couple of cars with the L-88 style headlight covers including from Duntov Motor Co. (Check out their website for possibly more photos) - they show a close up of an L-88 headlight cover. What I observed is the fasteners and the hinge points were mounted as far forward as possible, right on the edge of what normally would be underneath the chrome bumper area. Make sense?
Anyhow, this may allow you to avoid having to add stripes to the covers....just maybe
