Does anyone have pics of a C3 (any year) with Torq Thrust D's on it? I've found a couple by searching Google etc., but was surprised that there were not many with these wheels.
LOTS of people use them here.
Look at the Search button and under Advanced Search type in Torq Thrust. You could just click on the C3 section of that search.
And you can look at my avatar.
I have them on my 75 resto-mod project.
Good luck
I love them.
I use the old school 15" but many use larger 17" and 18"
Depends on if you will be changing your brake calipers to larger size.
I've seen a lot of the Torq Thrust II's, but not many of the "D" style wheels. I'll try a search.
My thought is to make our '77 look like it could have back in the day, so will more than likely stick with 15" wheels.
Thanks,
Adam
You bet Adam....
Just keep in mind that if you ever go with Wilwood brake calipers or other larger calipers, the 15" will not fit.
I am debating my decision right now whether to go up to 16" or 17" if I add the Wilwood as I think 16" is the minimum that will fit.
Good luck with your search.
I might sell mine.
They are 7 x 15 front and 8.5 x 15 rear with 235 60R15 front and 255 60R15 rear. They have zero miles on them as my project is sitting waiting on me.

Now I'm worried, bman. Are you saying that 15" Torq Thrust D's won't fit the Wilwood D8-4 calipers? Wilwood's web site says minimum wheel diameter is 15".
I have those calipers and was seriously thinking about getting 10x15" Torq Thrust D's with 2" flares...

Hi RBrid
Check Wilwood's website.
I don't want to mess up your plans, but that is my understanding.
Others here have posted about the clearance issue also.
Good luck.
I love the look but am considering Wilwood 4 and 6 piston calipers for the future.
Post up what you fine.
Txs
Bman
BTW....it may have to do with me wanting to go with larger rotors for better braking....
Like I said many factors involved so please do your own research. Ok?

Hey Kid Vette. That's the size I'm leaning towards. Do you happen to know what offset they are? I was looking at their website, but it looks like according to them, only the 16" x 8" will fit our '77. I'm not sure what they are basing that on. Since we have new tires already (15"), I'd really prefer to stick with that instead of the extra expense of new tires (again).
If you look at the link below, it shows what wheels will fit in bold.

Very nice car too! Is that a '73? The back looks awesome.
Thanks for the complements!
Backspace: 3.75"
Offset: -6mm
These 7" wheels actually look better on C2s or '68 to '69 Vettes. They get a little lost in the bigger, flared wheel wells of the later Vettes. I used spacers just to move them out a little for looks. You don't need spacers for clearance however.
Sorry for the confusion. When I saw your post, I thought you said they were 15" x 8" not 7. 15 x 8 is what I'm looking at. I'm like you, and want the wheels / tires to fill out the wheel openings, so I'm wondering if I would need spacers on the 8" wheel to accomplish this?
