Its amazing how many different cans of black paint I now own.

I like using the satin sheen for various parts as it does not have the gloss look, but is not as rough looking as the flat.

Hi,
I like Krylon #1613 (not #51613) semi-flat.
I spray it a little 'wet' which increases the smoothness of the surface and makes it a bit easier to keep clean.
I find that the paints with increased sheen while easy to keep clean increase the visibility of the 'roughness' of the under hood fiberglass.

Hi c,
Most of the under hood parts that are painted black are semi-flat.
However, the amount of sheen often varied from car to car and part to part because some parts of the car and the parts were sprayed by different people and many of the smaller parts were dipped not sprayed.
