Default Standard Door Panels

I have a 1975 standard interior my question is where the wood insert goes mine has a weave like texture but the replacements don't look like there is nothing there. Could someone help here? The vendors I've talked to aren't much help. Any Vendors input is welcomed. Thank you Guys in advance

Post a pic of your panels. The standard door panels are plain jane without the wood insert or the carpet along the bottom.

These were replacement panels (plain) and the weave is heat pressed in where the originals were

The first two responders here didn't know what you were talking about and we're vette-heads

I would suspect they thought you were looking for panels with comfort-weave on the deluxe inserts on a standard panel.

Ernie is still there as far as I know and posts here on the forum regularly with the various help and sales info.

I take exception. I know what the OP is supposed to have, but none of us know what he's got, hence the request for the pics.

Exactly. What I was getting at was his description wasn't as clear as perhaps it needed to be.

I've been to a couple Vendors sites Wilcox when I zoom in doesn't appear to have the texture and, MA does appear to have it. These probably all come from same place. When I asked one vendor they didn't know. They do repair work but don't know Thanks for the pictures guys

Mine were standard C.A. repros from Willcox, and they do have the texture like the one in your last picture.
I do see what you mean though..... after checking on the Willcox website. In the pictures of the door panels it is VERY difficult to see the texture.

Hi,
While all of the current reproduction door panels I see have some degree of the 'comfort weave' detail in the vinyl, none of them are nearly as distinct as it is in the original door panel vinyl.

Standard door panels didn't use wood grain trim, only the deluxe panels used the wood.

When you had deluxe panels you also had a metal chrome plate (shown below with the wood on it) that attached over top of the "weave" area in your panel. All panels from 1970-1977 had the weave... the chrome plate for deluxe just covered it up. If you had deluxe panels and removed this metal plate from a deluxe door panel you'll find it's got the weave under it.

But.... Your car didn't use the wood trim...
