Default 68 Intake Casting#

I have a 68 435hp car dated first week of march.
Should I have a early 852 intake or the later 797?
Thanks

March seems still a little early for the 797 tri-power intakes but I've yet to see a distinct date when they changed motor pieces as they were assembled at the motor plant and not the vette plant where the early/late tags where used.
The 852 would be safe, the 797 could be iffy. You'd have to check casting dates on the manifolds

Default Casting number

The car has the 797 on it.
I have read post on other site on a mid February car having the 797.
A NCRS judge responded and said he would not deduct for the 797.
I'm not buying one,it's already on the car.
It appears car is all original, and has tank sticker.

He/she is correct. The casting numbers for the aluminum manifolds are the undersides and cannot be seen with the manifold on the car.

I'd say keep the one you have.
