My usual rambling narrative: Much Ado About Nothing. The morning broke sunny but cool, about 45*F. But what the heck it is time to drive 100 miles for an ice cream cone. And we did. The temp perked up as time went by and reached about 70*F. The leaves are pretty much still green so no pics of those. The choice of the day for the Wife and I was homemade blueberry ripple. She made side trips to fudge and pastry shops while I shot the breeze with some people who took quite an interest in my car. I enjoyed that.
The 1974 ran very well although the minor pops on hard acceleration are still there. I mentioned that in another thread but my possible solution (richer secondary metering rods) did not come about as the parts did not arrive in the mail last week. But cruising at 50-70mph is a real delight. Even at idle the car is very smooth: steady as you go at 600rpm in Drive. So another three hours of Corvetting. Time well spent in what are the dying Corvette days of 2015.
On the way home we stopped at a roadside vegetable stand. I guess my only comment would be that pumpkin crop turned out "pretty well" this year. I see lots of pumpkin pies in the near future.
It certainly was nice in the sunshine today. Where's the Windjammer?
I took the Windjammer off yesterday in anticipation of putting the soft top up this evening and doing a RaggTopp treatment before winter. I have now done that. But I must say that Windjammer sure makes a difference at 70mph in terms of air turbulence! The Wife has a sun visor that she uses with the top down and she had to hold onto it today. BTW, the Haartz top has been down since May. It still looks great! Joys of having the car out of the sun in a garage.
*Edit* - BTW I see you are in Ottawa. It looks like rain for the next couple of days and 1*C (34*F) on the Wednesday evening. That is frost time. So here we go again: the coming of winter. Encore une fois. I hate the thought of turning on the furnace in September.

Yup, fuel stabilizer is on sale at CTC this week so I picked up a bottle today - hope I haven't jinxed myself!
I like the look of your car more without the Windjammer, but completely understand how it would make driving more enjoyable.
Nice pics Paul When you start seeing pumpkins you know that white stuff isn't far behind
Quite true although I have seen green Christmases in my time. Today is cool and very wet. So yesterday was a really blessing. I'm glad I got out. But the temps are sliding down quickly. Hopefully we will have an Indian Summer and I can get one more drive in for 2015.
