I finished putting my Vette back together last year but had never had
driven it more then 40 miles at any one time with maybe a total of 1000 miles. well this weekend I decided to drive down to the Somernights cruise, which the round trip was a little over 550 miles. I am happy to say it all went flawlessly and I had a great time at the show and did some very sprited driving on those Kentucky back roads. This was the best weekend to date I've had with this car and now look forward to many more trips.
I'm the same as you....only ever driven the car locally, and always seemed to be working on it more than driving it. Well on Wedensday September 30th that going to change....Edmonton, AB to Phoenix, AZ somewhere around 1740 miles one way.
My daughter is coming with me so I'll have some company....were both so excited.
My car is far to ugly to be seen at a carshow though LOL...
How did that guy get those sidewalls on the tires so black in your last picture?
I do love it when they shut down the streets for car people...looks like a good time.
Im not sure how he pulled it off but I should have asked. as far as the condition of your vette , the show at Somerset had all conditions. I can appreciated A1 condition car but I find it more enjoyable to talk with all the owners regardless of condition. Youll find you have a lot more in common then you ever thought.
I was there but didn't see your car any of the others in the pic. (we left early because we we starving..)That's my blue plasti-dipped 79. One of the "ugly" cars but we had a blast. It's usually 2x the amount of cars there but the rain scares em off for some reason!
Your's is awesome BTW
