I have an '80 that I'm just now digging into that will be mostly stock, but with a few mods, but only a few as right now I just want to make it safe. (read as cannot afford a lot of mods ) It sat in a garage for over 8 years before I got it. I've driven it a little for the last 2 years but the suspension has become so bad I decided to start tearing it down before something breaks & I kill someone or myself.
It's not all uptight just in my mind while a person can like both modded and bone stock most if pressed like one a hair better,
I also get it that a few cats wish they had a numbers matching purist ncrs dream car and have to "settle" for modded as it's what they can afford, so they like stock better but own modded my polls are not flawless neither am I...
I do not believe "mods" have to cost more than stock in my case I could never build a numbers matching bone stock 69 convertible bb ac car but I will do it in modded form for less than 13K
I few years ago my 69 busted a rear strut that lead to the frame off but still I do it on a budget, I would love to build by tossing money at it but I like most simply have to build as the wallet allows.
