So I disliked the way the stock c3 dash looked and functioned in every way possible so i began drawing up some designs.
I wanted a race type dash that was simple and looked clean.
I drew up some designs and decided i was going to put the gauges in the middle of the dash
This pic is something i drew in math class when i should've been paying attention.

As far as the dash pad went i accidentally ran it over after it fell behind the car and i backed it out
So i restructure it and fiber glassed the whole thing and sculpted it back to the right shape.
I used a fine textured bed liner to give it a nice texture and look.
I grinded off the underside until it was flat and fiberglassed 90 degree metal brackets and left a channel so i could slip the 1/8 wood into and it would tuck in nicely under

Skipping ahead a little i finalized my cut out of the dash making tight curves on the down part and making it narrower.
I used the stock console but actually cut the front in half and spread it apart to allow it to sit lower to the trans tunnel.
i made the dash sit inside of the console and mount to the tunnel.
to make the ends curve, i used modeling clay from AC moore and pressed them into curves to follow the door panel. I then covered them in fiberglass to lock the shape.
i set up my gauge placement using A LOT of measuring/ eyeballing

Its all over eBay, the original version is the 3M di-noc but there's a number of companies making knock off versions now.
