Old Chapman lock experts chime in
Well - the new project arrived - '77, needs everything -
But first, it has an old Chapman under the dash alarm / key lock which looks like there are a few wires hanging here and there.
The problem is it will run but then it dies, if you move the bundle of wires it will run, then dies, move the bundle, runs a little longer, dies. Sometimes it runs longer, sometimes not.
I have heard the Chapman system grounded the ignition so I'm thinking this may be part of the problem.
Thanks,
Frank

I couldn't find any schematics on it anywhere...

I plan on removing it but my fear is that wires have become detached and I'm not sure where they go.
I too searched and searched with no luck.
Thanks again -
Frank

This is it, it's a tracer schamatic. Just right click and copy it... then paste it into your paint program on your computer and save. You can then trace the wires with the line option in that program.

We used to do the same thing with a hidden toggle switch
