Hi,
There's a plating business that does very good work near Harrisburg Pa.
Librandi Plating.
I think they do a beautiful job at a reasonable price.
Regards,
Alan
Not sure if its close enough to the northeast, but Paul's Chrome in Evans City, PA has done nice work on some motorcycle parts for me in the past. They advertise frequently on "My Classic Car" and have been featured on that show and a few others on Velocity. (Ironically, that is how I initially found them, despite the fact that they are right down the road from where I live.)

Still hoping for something closer to home, but Mum was from PA, so that's almost home!
PS: Alan - can you give me a 'guesstimate' on the cost for two bumpers? The bumpers are not dinged, dented, rusted, etc, so it should be a fairly straight-forward job. From Paragon new ones are ~ $450 each, but I'd much rather keep the ones that came with the car.

A few years ago I paid 1000. for the three bumpers. Just a gauge.
At a plater in Phila.

I'm looking for recommendations. I've attempted to find such services here on the website; if I missed one, pls point them out.
We're located at junction of RT 495/90.
Thank you!
Sorry... no reference for a local plating firm.
I can show what to look for... find a firm that offers "triple plate" which refers to the number of layers that are plated. Nickle first, copper second, then the chrome. They say to keep it waxed to make it last a lifetime.
As Alan mentioned, Librandi's is quite popular and does great work, however VA Vettes is also one I have had experience with and recommend as an alternative.

Hi RR,
Posting at 3:14 AM????
I hope you're relaxing on a beach half way around the world from here!
Regards,
Alan
LOL Alan... I wish that was the case.
I couldn't sleep and I also wasn't in the mood to fight the dogs for a more comfortable spot on the bed. Figured I'd come downstairs and see what was new on the forum!
Good seeing you last week! Hopefully, the tires will meet your needs.
Hi Stan,
They cleaned up beautifully!
A few hours spent on each had some terrific results. I think the original 'coating' may have still been on the letters and part of the sidewall on 2 of them.
I'd still like to find 1 or 2 more… if you happen to hear of any available I'd give them a good home.
Thank You!!
Regards,
Alan
