Those "extended" front fender peaks look pretty stupid.

BTW a fellow named John Silva invented the mako re body and teamed with motion for a spell while motion made the kit famous silva sold far more kits and turn key cars than motion.

"moray" That is the same front clip as the mako, they just filled the front dips, I never liked how the front wheel wells have too high of an arch and most mako re bodies look like a 70's pro gasser taking off, cool look, not on a c3 imho,

So while I try to re work my mako front clip to suit my tastes you see why I have the stock 69 front clip first in line for my car, of course it will tilt and have a working L-88 hood but it just looks better to me than the off the shelf mako,

If not for the mako motion could not have even built this moray which I too never cared for, ironic since I love a well done mako re body.

Hi,
It's described in the article as a being a "bold design".
I guess that IS one word someone could use!
It looks to me like the 68+ body with overly exaggerated lines.
Regards,
Alan

My wife and I went to see that movie, at the drive-in, in her '76 C-3, when it first came out. The movie was SO bad, it went straight to the drive in........

I agree that is a "gem" I like it a lot, I hate the color but paint is easy, if I ever buy another c3 it would have to be a wide body or truckster something very different to my 69/
But the price, lol, change that first "2" into a "1" and that's closer to correct.

Some people find the moray ugly others find the CS car ugly but on the flip side some people like both those cars a lot, people have different tastes in corvettes which is good because I would get way bored if all c3's had to be bone stock and the same color.

When I was a freshman in high school I had a shirt with a picture of a c3 like yours with those rims but it was red. It said "Wrap your *** in fiberglass" I loved that shirt. My history teacher said it was disgusting and asked what my parents would think of it. I said my mom bought it for me.

Ecklers used to sell t-shirts with that saying. I bought one of them in '79, for my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time. She didn't think it was all that tasteful, either. While she never wore the shirt, she did fold it neatly, and put it in one of the rear compartments of the '79 C-3 that she used to own.
