Hose Clip
1969 corvette L46
I bought a couple of these clips for management of the AC hoses and the heater hoses.
They attach to the passenger side wall of the engine compartment .. But when I look at the 2 little tangs coming off of the clip I'm puzzled about how they attach... just a hole or is there a special fitting attached to the side wall. A hole doesn't seem like it would work.

Since my car caught fire at one time my side wall is not to spec.
Thanks for your help.

They are a puzzle at first,
They work counterintuitivly.
You grab the 2 prongs 'with-in' the clip and SQUEEZE them which SPREADS the 2 prongs on the 'outside' of the clip and thus holds the clip in place on the plate that's riveted to the apron or firewall.

Alan
Here's the type of plate that's used with that style clip.
