Thanks ... I finally did that and they slipped in .... whew!!
Ecklers sells a set of "clips" that go over the pistons and hold them compressed to make sliding the new pads in place. Well worth the $10, especially if you are working on other stuff and leave the caliper hanging for a while. RA
Make sure your pistons are back in the bores. You may have to uncap the master cylinder to allow it to overflow. Find a piece of wood that is a little thicker than the rotor. Put your pads in the caliper. Do not put the top pins on. Put the wood between the pads. Slip the caliper assembly over the rotor. The wood will pop out the top. Bold down the caliper, insert the pin and secure with the carter pin. I use a block of wood thicker than the rotor and about three quarters the size of the pads. Make sure your bleeders are ALWAYS on top. The larger calipers go on the front. Bleed the system and top off the M/C. You should be good to go. Good luck. Jerry
