How worn is to worn?
So I'm working on updating my frt suspension this winter and I had bought a extra set of frt control arms figuring I could have them all clean painted and nice before swapping with what's in the car. After removing the lower control arm bushings I've found 1 cross shaft bent and it appears that the inner holes where the control arm bushings go were all chewed upt some previous point. Should I chalk these arms up to scrap( they appear fine in every other way) or is that a non issue? Thanks

If the control arm seems to be in perfect shape...but the shaft was shot and bent. It is a toss up on IF it need to be replaced or not. There is no way in telling until you go and press in new bushing and see if the shafts DO NOT bind.
The 'trick' when installing the new control arm bushings is to make sure you do not distort eh control arm. AND this is done with spacers that keep the control arm from collapsing when the bushings are pressed in place.
