Default Best outer window seal?

1976 coupe. Need to replace my outer window seals. The part that attaches to the exterior door (window removal required to install). I have heard that some vendors quality is better than others. If any one has had good/bad experiences with this part please share.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes.. there are some junk felts out there.... the best way to tell is the junk wipes are rubber, the good wipes are cat hair covered. We pulled the rubber wipe felts from our site.

Thanks - any trick to installation? I figured aligning the glass back in door would be the difficult part. Is this correct?

There is one trick, even on the good felts. Sometimes the special clips don't want to seem to hold so we will drill a extra screw hold where (if needed). We usually try to open the clip up a bit before we do that. But if you do drill a new hole make sure to put a stop block on the drill bit, you don't want to drill a hole in the fiberglass.

It is not nesessary to remove the window to replace the outer seal. Lower the stops, or remove them from the bottom of the window tracks.
The window can then be lowered below the outer seal.

Remove the lower stops and the door window pad adjuster... it's tight but it can be done.
