What would you pay....

Not to mention, this is a dealer... so in all likelihood there is quite a bit of profit built into the price of this car.
Its a nice looking piece, but there isn't enough of a benefit from buying from a dealer that I'd be rubber bumper c3 shopping at one. These cars are not rare or difficult to find... if you want a 74-82 car, scour craigslist and eBay daily and you may find a great deal.
Its not that hard to find a real clean rubber bumper car, and at the end of the day whether its allegedly restored or not, its going to eventually need all the same horsesh#t that we all end up doing.... trailing arms, power steering rebuild, brakes, suspension etc... Might as well shop privately.
You've mentioned the color change does not concern you. My advice would be to think that over again and determine whether you're certain about that.
Good luck.

I almost never say this , but changing the color was smart with this car. It's not a collector car .
Silver is always nice .
Most likey the price reflects the expense someone undertook to change the aweful paint and interior . Most likey the looks over rode the desire and pocketbook to repair the suspension and drivetrain components .
So if the paint and interior is excellent .....be very critical, now is the time to look hard at the car . Not remorse month later
Decide if the paint and interior is satisfactory .
Then is a Auto matic car enough power ?
How is the Motor run, transmission quiet , any leaks , brakes ok?
Tires ?
Does it have the options ..YOU Desire?
Take it to a shop .....put it on a lift and gaze at it a while .
If you bought a perfect mechanical sound car. But needed paint and interior .....you'd be looking at 10 grand plus the car price. minimum
Generally mechanical is cheaper and easier to fix on these cars than the body, paint and expensive interior restoration.
