Seats are not '78. What else has been changed? What about the engine compartment? Numbers?

...What would you pay...
What are you considering paying for it? Do you want the car with the color change?

Hi L,
This looks like a nice car in a nice color combination.
Someone who wants a car in it's original exterior and interior colors wouldn't be interested in it because of the cost of changing the colors out weighs the value of the car.
But to someone who's just interested in having a nice 78 Corvette it may be quite desirable.
Some might say this is a better color combination than the brown/brown and makes it more desirable.
Does it matter to you?
Regards,
Alan

I would be a buyer at around $8-9k. It looks real clean though. Engine pics?

Does that say L88 on the hood, its hard to make out? Is it a big block car? Does the ac work and the power windows?

The car has probably lost most of the collector market needing a repaint and interior change to bring it back to original. It may make a nice driver for someone looking for that color combo. Price would depend on condition, any rust or mechanical issues. 8k$ to 10k$ sounds like the low end if the car is in good condition. Much less than that gets you a project which may exceed this price once repairs are done.

Hi VB,
I agree, that's why I said nothing about the $$$.
I only commented on why someone may want it or not want it and does THAT affect it's value.

Alan

Yes L82, not L88. You'll have to forgive my ignorance, still learning about these cars and doing my research. AC & windows work.

Will tell you as much as I can. Had a friend who knows older cars look at it for me and says its in good condition. I am trying to get more info from the dealer as far as what exactly has been replaced on the car. I don't care that it's not the original color combo. But wondering if the $13,800 asking price is high or not. Will post again once I get the list of what's been done from the dealer.

I don't care that it is not original colors. They're asking $13,800. I've tried to get more info from the owner of the dealership (it's a collectible vette place) about what exactly has been modified and he says he'll have to put it in the air and get back to me Monday. I am obviously no expert on cars and that probably drives you hardcore vette people crazy but I have loved the C3 body style for 20+ years and always wanted one. Now trying to learn more about the engines and parts and doing my homework. Always thought it was just such a sexy car!

Looks clean...11k tops really.
L-82 helps....but like the others say...how boogered, if at all, is it under the hood? And do the lights work?
