Why so hard to find a 70-72 BB Vert?
I left the Mopar community 5 years ago selling my 70 RT/SE BB Challenger. It was a #1 car - just needed something new. Have a nice '71 SB Vert now that is fun, but desire to find a 70-72 454 Vert w/automatic if possible in #1/#2 condition. I am an internet junky and follow every major avenue to unearth one of these cars....its not easy! This is my 5th post here with no bites. Are these cars that rare that nobody wants to part with them? Money is burning a hole in my pocket and I cant find a great car to buy. Funny thing is, 8 years ago it was a 440 Six Pack Challenger that seemed hard to find, now they are everywhere (top dollar, but available). I'm wondering if these BB vert cars are just in a cyclical cycle of not being on the market......thoughts?

Don't worry, your corvette has been built already, just wait and see

I have the perfect solution to your problem:
Buy my car, send it to the premier Corvette restoration shop of your choice and you will have a #1 car by spring!
Problem solved.

I dont think you should have any problem finding a car as long as you have set a realistic price that you are willing to spend. I have no idea what you are looking to spend, but many times this price and condition matrix people have in their head is not accurate.
You are not going to see a 70 72 matching bb vert for 25k in the condition you are searching for. A nicely restored well sorted car will probably set you back around 50k.

The car has a lot of gm special options
Little known to most corvette fans. Gm was experimenting with down force long before the europeans started with the spoilers and wings.
This car has the high down force option which I use to park it and I am still able to sweep my garage floor and have extra space for my cosworthe vega, which is also in the picture but you can not see it as it has the other little know option of the star trek cloking package so it is invisible.

I'll spend for the right car. Somebody asked the question. Again a super nice car should be original drivetrain and nice paint by my standards.
