Just wanted to see if anyone had dealings with a seller "427-king" on ebay? Recently won an auction for about 40$ on 12/11, said in auction only "cert. check, MO" accepted. I promptly wrote for his address to send check, he wrote within several hours saying I could pay with Paypal but not until he added on for his fees (violates ebay rules, but OK). I said fine, I needed his Paypal address. He then wrote back three days later 12/14 saying he sent a PAypal request to me, which I got, but it was a bogus link. He then filed a late payment claim with ebay after 4 days on 12/14, telling me it was automatically generated by ebay after 7 days (mind you, it had only been 4 days)!!?!?!?!? More attempts I finally got his name and address, sent him a check for more than the auction on 12/16!!! He then, after plenty of time to receive the check, filed a non-payment item "removed for sale" with ebay!?!?!?! Also relisted item, which I can't seem to bid on!!!
So not sure what really happened, seems he sabotaged his own sale, as I see it, I did nothing wrong, never really got anywhere with him how to submit payment. He never cashed the check so it was not a scam, just a lot of shenanigans on his part, when he could have really just cashed the check and sent me the GD part!!!!
Really wanted that part!!!!! lol

You need to report him to ebay. Don't know if you will ever see your money or your part. There are alot of people on ebay like this. If you can stop your payment I would. That is your only recourse. Sorry that there are people like this out there.

Like I said, don't understand the motive, he never cashed the check (I just stopped payment just in case) . And yes, I knew his name and who he thinks he is but refrained from putting it here. LOL
AND EVERY AUCTION I GET I IMMEDIATELY PAY WITH PAYPAL, HIS DIDN'T ALLOW IT. HIS REASON TO EBAY WAS I WAS TOLD MANY TIMES TO PAY BUT DIDN'T, sorry for the caps. Unfortunately for him, ebay saw his mails and they were all from me asking for address and how to pay.

This seller has some high dollar stuff on his ebay account. A COPO camaro he is asking $200k for and all kinds of NOS parts. He even has a webpage 427king.com. Hopefully he will be on the up and up and get it worked out for you.

nothing lost at my end, just not able to buy the part!!! Just letting people know what an A-Hole he was...............
Unless the rules have changed, ebay requires all sellers to accept Paypal, whether they want to or not simply for the reason to protect the buyer in cases such as these.
Hit him with some negative feedback stating he would not accept Paypal. Good for you that you didn't get hit with a loss.

Unfortunately when a case is brought against you on ebay, lose or win ebay feels it has been decided, so the option to leave feedback is no longer there! I feel like making another account just to get that part!!!!!!

eBay actually has rules allowing a second account and have no issues with it.

I have no problem making another account, the problem still remains he doesn't take PayPal and dicks around giving you payment info. He did that with me plus filed the cases against me without giving me a chance to get the info I needed to pay. Probably do it again to me.
If anyone knows this guy let me know, I want that part and will pay a 10$ fee for you to get it for me, if you don't know him I don't want someone to go through what I just did.

That might be the problem, didn't think a 40 $ part was worth his time!!!! Lol
I only pay with PayPal, and always with a credit card. PayPal can screw you around too, but there's recourse with the card unless the purchase is from a different country. It takes street smarts to use eBay and not get burned. I lost some money in the early days...
