Default Corvette Hardtop Inquiry

I am wanting to get glass T-tops and new weather-stripping and I came across this..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-Gla...BWK79b&vxp=mtr

Has anyone bought this product? It looks as though it has some space on it that may be problematic to my window.

I do know that they are not glass....or at least the few that I have had come in my shop were acrylic.

Honestly I have never removed one to check and see if it will fit in the rear for storage.

With them being acrylic...you might want to find out if they have the scratch resistant coating on the acrylic like the 1984-1996 Corvettes have on their targa roof panels.

I remember one of the few that I have seen ...the acrylic was really murky and dull....and who knows what caused that.

Just recently had to change the shifter due to water leakage rusting it out over time. If this solid piece can change the headache and look good at the same time I'm game but $500 is steep for not seeing this mod on more cars.

Yeah, the "glass" is Plexiglass. Pretty loose term if you ask me.
I had one I just sold to another forum member that I never installed (car not finished). There are two supports down the center where the top crosses. The whole thing is ringed with a foam seal. The hold-downs are also plexi with stainless hardware.

I have no idea...I do not know what you have wrong with what you have for a top currently. No photos have been posted or a clear description of what is wrong when you post the photos.

It just be nice to know someone who has actually installed it onto their vehicle. I can't even find a good picture of it being installed on a car. I did find one but it was 15 feet away so my suspicions have been activated.
