I've been a part of this forum previously when I had a C4 and then a C5, I couldn't remember my log in details of course.. The car has basically sat for ten years in a barn. It's a 79 L-82 with all of the options for the year. The original color was red but the PO painted it black in 89. I'm excited for all of the challenges to come and the search function will be my best friend. I'm currently into the brakes and it's been an interesting experience to say the least...

The 1979 Shop Manual can help and also a .pdf copy of the Factory Assembly Manual (AIM). And taking lots of photos from various angles before disassembly will help tremendously on reassembly. Take your time and do it right, and you'll enjoy the results.
Congrats and welcome to the C3 world. Great looking car. My '81 sat for at least 15 years before I started working on it. Plenty unique compared to my C2 and Z28.
Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to getting this old girl back on the road. I'm currently trying to decide whether to go stock with the brakes or put on a Wilwood kit front and rear and never look back. Decisions.. Decisions....
