A friend of mine gave me a 79 Corvette, I did some restoration work and sold his 72 Buick GS, just helping out a friend. So here we go again, she needs some lovin!
Sweet! Congrats! Whats the plan? Flip? Restore? Hotrod?
Thanks! Do to the fact I've known this car for 30 years and given to me from a friend and being a 4-speed A/C Corvette, looks like I will be giving this Vette the lovin it needs. I was upset that my friend was leaving this car out side for years, shes inside now among good company!
Congratulations on the Vette. Before you dump any serious cash remove the kick panels and inspect for rust. If you can get your hands on a remote camera, take it to the A pillars and take a look all the way up the channels.

We have a remote camera at work, so will do! The car sat outside for a wile so probably need to really look it over. It's unfortunate that this year Corvette doesn't hold the value like the chrome bumper C3s but being a 4-speed A/C AM/FM/CB car makes it interesting.

I agree. If it turns out to be a good solid car I would seriously consider an LS + 5/6 speed conversion. I like the look of the car and it would be bad@$$ with a bit more grunt.

Being in the repair trade does help and starting a $0.00 helps too, AL.
Wow.....72' GS 4 speed....end of an era.....
These last year 72' and 73' musclecars intrigue me because GM sure slid some snafu on the Gov. with a bunch of different models......
They did not all quite run a good as the 70' models....but they were plenty strong on their own right and were identical otherwise......
Lot of the reason I own a 72' Vette
Brings back memories. I had a 70 GS with a stage 1 455 in it when I got out of high school. Wish I never sold it, but life got in the way. A year after I sold it, some boneyard contacted me as the last known owner and asked if I wanted the car back. I should of jumped on it then.
Curious as to what the GS went for?
