Optional wiring?
Found this trio of wires behind/under my radio...looks like they are tied in a knot and some type of old heat shrink was installed. Could this be from the factory and for an option that I didn't get?

Model year? Do you have an aftermarket radio? Wire colors look like those used on the final audio output of a stock radio. Post a pic of the heat sink. Does it have a big 501 transistor in the middle of it?

Hi S,
The other (passenger) side of the radio.
Headed as HF indicated. You can see the wires ducking down the back side of the heater box.
Regards,
Alan

Hi S,
Yes.
In the 71 AIM it's shown on UPC1, Sheet M1, View A, and UPC 12, Sheet B5.
The B5 drawing gives a hint at the shape of the connector that appears to have been cut from your wiring tail.
Regards,
Alan
