It's a small (tiny - car insured for agreed value... ) extinguisher and I hope to never need it but's it's been in the car, just not in any kind of an actual accessible location (in the jack well)
Liked the front of the seat mounts, didn't like that it left the big gap so I mounted it to the actual seat so it moves with it.
Clears the floor when the seat is all the way back
Quick release bracket
Overall fairly happy with the result
Now just need to find a small clean agent unit...

Reason: fix photobucket mess
I do believe that this would be better located on the driver's seat. That area just in front of the seat does NOT impede getting in/out of the car. But, if a fire starts, even a few seconds can make a difference. Being right where you can access it is a significant asset, whether the fire is in the passenger area [dash?] or outside.
P.S. I think the extinguisher nozzle should always be placed toward the center of the car to assure that it would not be impacted during normal vehicle use.

I thought about it being on the drivers side and the seat bottoms are interchangeable but I've got something different planned for the drivers seat right now.
With the extinguisher tight to the seat, the head needed to be outboard to clear the adjuster **** (again, if that becomes the drivers seat...) but watching myself get in/out the feet don't go anywhere even close to the unit so it shouldn't be an issue.
But, nothing is carved in stone (or aluminum in this case)

I think it would be easier for me to grab it where you have it. I keep my garage door remote on the passenger side visor because it is easier to see and reach when it is not TOO close.
Either way, that is a really nice looking piece you made there. You've some skills going on there.
