Storage compartments

I've just ripped out the old, worn out carpet in my 81. When I researched purchasing a replacement, I can't seem to find one for 3 door storage beyond 1979. Were 1981s not available in 3 door storage? If not, am I safe to assume that a carpet set from an earlier year (i.e. 1979) will still fit it?

Did you rip out a 3 door or 2 door? Are you looking to change the layout? If 3 door go with the 79 if 2 door go with the years for 2 door.

Guess I wasn't clear on that... It has a 3 door.
I've since found a replacement set for an 81 with a 3 door compartment.

The change from 3 to 2 was in late 79 getting ready for the 80 model. It was around vin #53500.

No answer why you would have a 3 door.

A PO wanted 3 doors and swapped out the compartment pieces. Or, the car is a '79 model with '81 body panels/nose/tail.
