Hendrick Chevrolet, Hoover, Alabama, The Hoover Corvette Center and Team Corvette Alabama want to announce the sponsorship of Vettes4Vets.
Vettes4Vets will take place May the 28th, 2016 at the Talladega Super Speedway. This is a great opportunity to support America's Heroes. More information will be disseminated as it becomes available. Please start to spread the word.

It is nice to read this. I was starting to wonder if there was going to be another event this year. I spoke with Jeff who has always been my contact for the V4V event. Not sure what his role was but I do know he put together most of it. When I talked to him a few days ago he told me that the board had not met in over a year so he wasn't sure what was going on. I got a message from Lori Banes who also helps organize this event and she said good news should be coming to me shortly. I know it'll be a great turn out this year, since they didn't have it last year. We're excited and ready for it!

Yesterday marked a new beginning for Vettes4Vets. Jeff was not involved with what has occurred and I don't know what his association will be in the future. I can say this that Hendrick Chevrolet stepped forward yesterday and insured that this year's event will be a huge success. Hendrick Chevrolet, The Hoover Corvette Center(at Hendrick Chevrolet) and Team Corvette Alabama are now the sponsors of Vettes4Vets for the Memorial Day week end and the track day of May 28th, 2016. The track reservation has been confirmed and the wheels are in motion. Right now we are working to bring the web site up to date with reservation information etc. The working group that met yesterday will meet again next week and more news will be forthcoming. I am the Vice President of Team Corvette Alabama and the Manager of The Hoover Corvette Center and a new board member of Vettes4Vets and also a veteran. Thank you for your past attendance and please make plans for this years event. Also, please help get the word out....Vettes4Vets is alive, strong and this year's event will be the biggest and best yet, with more to follow.
If there is a contingent of Tennessee folks going down for this, I would be interested in participating. I'm assuming that it would include going to the Talledega race, etc, so lots of planning/logistics will need to happen.
I'll be watching for more info. The last Vettes4Vets event I had the opportunity to attend was one in Phoenix, AZ several years ago.

Actually the Talladega race is May the 1st. Our event will be Saturday May the 28th. There will be activities in Birmingham on Friday the 27th, but the 28th is the track day.
I remember you going out first two years ago and I still recall how awesome your C3 sounded each time by while we were standing in the padock by the garages.
