Here’s a look at my P02s, that I restored. First I had them professionally polished, then I masked and painted. I used a leather tool to cut the end of the tape for the fins. I rounded both ends of the tape, a lot of time put into masking.

Your restored covers look GREAT. Those covers are really heavy. My 1971 came with them new. I replaced them with Keystone Klassic wheels which were also heavy but I think they still came in lighter that the original wheels and covers.
All looking great. I never got anywhere trying to find out info on a set I bought and are now on the red LT-1 which have different centres. There's no GM part number on them so I decided they were home made out of blocks of aluminium and likely a one off set?
Hey Roma,
I have a question, can you paint the wheel cover emblem? I just received some P02’s from a forum member & going to start to dive in this weekend. If not, I will have to buy new ones. By the way, yours are coming out very well. Congrats.
Boat196 you beat me too it. I was about to post that they were balanced when assembled.
i did not know this when I took mine apart as well. I made a home made balancer with a metal dowel and played with the combination of parts to were I think rematch them. Ike.
